After completion of the remaining work, the cavern will be returned to regular storage operations. STORAG ETZEL expressly thanks the neighbors in the area of the street "Hohejohlster Straße" in Etzel for their understanding of the work carried out on the cavern site there in 24-hour operation / 7 days a week.
Plans are in place to improve well integrity in this manner on additional oil caverns in 2022. STORAG ETZEL's ongoing re-completion program for the oil and gas caverns at the Etzel site includes investments of around 51 million euros for 2021 and 2022 alone.
