Cavern Site Etzel

Yesterday we had the honour of welcoming His Excellency, the Norwegian Ambassador SE Torgeir Larsen, to STORAG ETZEL as part of his two-day visit to the region, together with Siemtje Möller, Member of the German Bundestag, Lower Saxony's Minister for Economic Affairs Olaf Lies and Nina Scholz (Country Manager of our long-standing site partner Equinor)!

Under the motto "Storage in transition", Commercial Director Boris Richter and Head of Site Development at STORAG ETZEL Karsten Peter introduced the guests to the high-performance cavern site, the ongoing hydrogen pilot project "H2CAST Etzel" and the activities of the "Energy Hub - Port of Wilhelmshaven" in regional development in the northwest, i.e. with regard to the development of hydrogen projects (import, production, distribution, storage). In terms of content, the partnership with Norway as an important energy supplier for Germany was once again confirmed by all sides in the discussion.

Thank you for the extremely expert exchange, especially about the possibilities of our region within the framework of a European hydrogen economy. STORAG ETZEL is looking forward to further good cooperation!

Our future: oil, gas AND hydrogen!
